Prospect Park, Acton

Leash-Free Halton Hills Acton

Prospect Park's leash-free zone is approximately .6 acres at 30 Park Ave. in downtown Acton. A securely fenced facility with a double-gated entrance to allow an easy, secure area to leash and unleash your dog. The park includes several seating areas and covered shelter in case of inclement weather. LFHH communications are posted on site through a centrally located information board. If you visit at night the lights automatically turn on once it gets dark.

Prospect Park is also proud to host weekly a "Greyhound Only Hour". This is an exclusive program for those with Greyhound dogs every Sunday afternoon between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. Greyhounds must wear muzzles while in the leash-free area. Visitors are welcome to come and watch - but it's Greyhounds only. Greyhound owners pay an additional fee for this special program.
...................(Please allow a few minutes for change over to ensure an orderly transition)

When driving, enter the park through the main gates, use the large parking lot adjacent to the field as parking is not allowed against the buildings. If you follow the parking lot that leads to a path between the two buildings you will see tennis courts on your right and on the other side of the courts is the dog park.
