Trafalgar Sports Park

LFHH is proud to announce the opening of our new off leash dog park in Halton Hills. It has been designed to enhance the off-leash experience while addressing environmental issues in our community.

It is located within the Trafalgar Sports Park at 11494 Trafalgar Road near Maple Ave. in Georgetown.

This new off leash park is approximately 9300m or 2.3 acres. It is the largest off-leash park in Halton Hills. The space includes many new features including, an adventure play area, drinking fountain, large lit shelter, limestone screened walkways, benches, a grass surface, automated lighting and a special use/small dog area. We have also included many new trees in the park’s design.

The new park contains a separately fenced small dog area which our other parks don’t have. If the small dog area is not in use, it can be used alternately as an area for dogs with special needs or less experienced dogs that are new to the off-leash environment and becoming acclimated to the off-leash experience.

Another unique feature to TSP is the new in-ground waste disposal system installed at the park entrance. The Sutera system is environmentally friendly and promotes pet waste recycling.
This is the newest technology in managing the urban dog-waste epidemic that is growing as dog ownership increases. Once the container is full, the waste is then emptied by an overhead lift truck and taken to an organic waste plant to be converted into energy and fertilizer.

The park is closed for maintenance every Tuesday from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. This allows our partners to service the park without interfering with park users. If maintenance staff arrive during your visit, please exit the park quickly to allow for upkeep to be completed.
